Imelda is currently the Managing Principal Consultant of JOURNEY Training & Consultancy, a training company which focus in helping Hotels, Resorts & Retail clients develop the capabilities of their front line and management staff by imparting proven thinking processes, sharing of successful best practices of world-class hotels and resorts organizations that is delivered by seasoned hospitality related practitioners and trainers with extensive hospitality professional experience, all managed under the team of JOURNEY pool of Trainers.
Imelda specializes in Human Resource Development, L&D, Industrial Organizational Psychology & OD but also trains extensively in soft skills topics such as Service Excellence, Service Culture & blueprint, Cross Cultural, Communications, Personality Profiling & Teambuilding using DiSC, F&B Up selling, Rooms Up selling, and Leadership Programs especially for hotels and resorts which is aligned to her passion for this industry.
Prior to setting up JOURNEY Training & Consultancy business, Imelda gained most of her experience as a freelance Corporate Trainer & Lecturer & Head & Director of Training in international brands such as Pan Pacific Hotels Group, Resorts World Sentosa, Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa Resort to name a few.
Imelda holds a Double Master’s degree in Industrial & Organizational Psychology & HRM from City University of New York, USA, a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications from the Curtin University of Western Australia, Diploma in Training & Development (SHRI), Diploma in Training (University of Atlanta), Adv Diploma in Management (Australia), Diploma in Teaching & Training (Boston College), Certificate IV in Training & Assessment from TAFE Institute Australia, a certified DiSC Profiler & Facilitator, Certified Disney Institute Trainer, Certified Ron Kaufman Course Leader, a accredited ACTA qualification from WDA & a Certified Enneagram Spectrum Facilitator (USA).
